How to send your items

Stamps sent to us for appraisal must be photocopied in duplicate, with one photocopy included in the envelope along with the instructions as to the type of appraisal or valuation required.

IMPORTANT NOTICE!
The minimum fee is €60.00 + postal charges, so sending in one stamp for signing will cost the same as sending in 10. If you are sending from Italy, we recommend using the conventional insurance cover of €50.00, which does not require a wax seal. Make sure the contents are enclosed in heavy cardboard, and use a protective envelope (e.g. with air –bubble padding). On the front of the package write DO NOT BEND – DO NOT PUNCTURE and secure the envelope closed with personalized adhesive tape on which your name or personal seal is included to discourage tampering. If you choose to send stamps through a private courier service, follow the same instructions as above and prefer shipping companies that do NOT place their customers’ packages in their own large envelopes. From some shipping companies we have taken delivery of packages that appear intact on the outside but have been tampered with inside. We strongly advise against using registered mail and “Posta Celere” (Express Mail ) as letters and packages are frequently "mislaid". If we deem that the material you have sent us is worth a certain amount, then we shall add a modest insurance charge when returning it, which will add €1 to your fee for every €1,000 insured.

If you are sending from outside Italy, we recommend using registered mail or a trusted shipping service. We suggest you do not declare the value of the content on the package.

Do NOT email us photos of stamps you wish to have valued, as we cannot spot forgeries or detect possible creases, cuts or thinning from an image. For a proper examination, the stamps themselves must be sent.
